To sign up for our Remind 101 notifications, please visit the link below.  Remind 101 will be used to notify you of important bus information.

If you need to add your child to a bus route, you must do so in writing.  Please email me and I will send you a form to fill out and return to school.  Please note that it takes up to 10 days to be added to a bus route.  We will notify you with a bus number, driver name, route times, and locations as soon as we have that information available.

For safety reasons, students in grades K-3 must have a designated adult present to meet them at the bus stop. If no adult is present, the bus driver will bring them back to school so that a parent or guardian can pick them up at the end of the bus route. The office will call you in the event that this happens.

Friedberg began training with the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support initiative in 2011.  The staff created a matrix of expectations for students to follow while at school. Each year we review the expectations at the beginning of the year and as needed throughout the year focusing on reinforcing those behaviors with positive reinforcement.

Our bus expectations are included below.  You may notice that each expectation is phrased in a positive way telling students how we expect them to act rather than telling them “not” to do something or to “stop” doing something.  I encourage you to use these as reminders with your child.  If you have suggestions, please let me know and I will pass them along to committee.

Thank you for all you do each day!

Sarah Maier

Gather all your belongings and keep the bus clean.

Wait patiently at you stop.  Talk quietly. Be nice to others.

Keep hands and feet to yourself.  Walk to exit the bus.  Stay in your seat.

Follow all bus rules.  Listen to the driver.

Twice a year, we complete bus safety training and evacaution drills at Friedberg.  The first drill takes place within the first five days of school.  The second drill takes place second semester.
