Grading Policy
In Davidson County Schools, students in Kindergarten to second grade are graded on a three-point, rubric-based grading scale. The rubric is designed to serve as a continuum towards mastery of the skills and concepts reflected in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for the grade level.
3: Student is consistently applying this skill. (80-100% proficiency)
2: Student is inconsistently applying this skill. (70-79% proficiency)
1: Student is not meeting grade-level expectations; intervention and/or modified assignments needed. (Less than 70% profiency)
